Footpro test the Hoka One One running and trail running shoes

Traditional running shoes have a heel to toe ramp angle of 12mm, the Hoka shoes are slightly flatter at 10mm. The idea of flatter shoes is not revolutionary but combining that with significantly more cushioning is. The sole of the Hoka shoe has increased toe and heel rocker that allows for smooth stride transitioning.

This is article on shoe ramp angle or ramp delta. This will ensure the heel of the shoe don't get in your way during a forefoot or midfoot landing.
